3D modelling and set dressing

The step where a design stops being an image and becomes a place.

We turn design into geometry: the set built, dressed and documented, ready for camera, light and animation to come in.

A drawing of a house is not a house. Between concept and shoot there is unglamorous, decisive work: deciding where every object sits, what it is made of, how used it is and what it says about whoever lives there. That work is what makes a set look inhabited rather than furnished.

What we deliver

Modelled set
The location built to scale, with geometry organised so other teams can work on top of it.
Props and dressing
The inventory of objects in the scene, modelled and placed, with their history of use.
Breakdown sheets
One plate per element: views, materials and references — what reaches whoever models or textures.
Props and vehicles
Pieces the camera looks at closely, which is why they do not take approximations.
Presentation renders
The view direction needs in order to approve the set before anything moves on.

Why it sits with the rest

Because the same team that decided the color does it. When set dressing is handled by people who were not in the direction stage, the geometry arrives correct and the place arrives empty: the object is where it should be but it says nothing. Here both stages share judgment, and the breakdowns are written knowing what lighting they will get.

We work in Blender and adapt to the production’s pipeline, delivering in whatever format the client asks for.
