Magic: The Gathering

Card illustration inside a format that dictates the terms.

Production: Collectible card game
Disciplines: Illustration

The project

Illustration for one of the most recognisable game properties there is, with a closed art guide from the client and a format that shapes composition from the first sketch: the frame, the text box, the read at 63×88 mm, and the same image shrunk to a thumbnail in a digital store.
